Le Havre Toulouse prediction 2024-03-10

Le Havre vs Toulouse prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-03-09 14:00.
[p]Le Havre gave it everything against Brest but ultimately came up short last Sunday (L 1-0), with their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 defeat seeing them end the round just one point above the relegation play-off place. Last year’s Ligue 2 champions are battling for survival, but manager Luka Elsner remains in defiant mood, telling reporters afterwards that he and his players have no intention of giving up.[/p]

[p]Elsner has urged supporters to create a “crazy” atmosphere at home to Toulouse to not only give the team the best chance of ending that losing run, but also rediscovering the form that saw them beat both Nice and Lyon 3-1 at Stade Océane either side of Christmas. They’ve not quite been as impressive on home soil since, as two defeats by a one-goal margin have left Sky and Navy fans frustrated.[/p]

[p]Toulouse arrive in Normandy on a four-match competitive unbeaten streak (W3, D1), with the last two of those victories coming after conceding first. Such fighting qualities mean that Carles Martínez Novell’s men start the weekend in tenth place and six points clear of the bottom three, as they aim to win four consecutive Ligue 1 encounters in the same season for the first time since doing so to start the 2010/11 campaign.[/p]

[p]With three straight league wins on the road behind them, Les Violets might not worry too much about what sort of atmosphere awaits on Sunday, particularly as they haven’t lost an away H2H since April 1993 (W3, D4). More history awaits if they can continue that sequence, as never before have they won four successive top-flight outings on their travels during one season![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Mohamed Bayo enjoys playing against Toulouse as three of his last five club goals have come against them (two for Le Havre and one for Lille) – all of them after the 80th minute. Also dangerous after the break, Thijs Dallinga netted between the 60th and 70th minutes in Toulouse’s last two games.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: The last six league H2Hs Le Havre have hosted produced a meagre average of 1.33 goals per match.[/p]
