Vitesse vs Almere City prediction: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie betting tips on match 2024-03-16 20:00.
[p]Vitesse Arnhem appear to have blown a crucial period in the fight for survival, having taken on direct competitors in four of their last five matches but collecting only a total of just four points against the four clubs joining them in the bottom five of the table at the start of the round. With seven defeats in their last nine games across all competitions, there has been little to cheer about lately for those who care about the club and a dwindling prospect of survival.[/p]
[p]Â [/p]
[p]Their supporters, particularly home season ticket holders, have been far from spoiled this season. Vitesse are by far the worst scoring team in the competition at home, with just eight goals to celebrate in the Gelredome. That accounts for just 40% of their already measly production of just 20 Eredivisie goals this season. [/p]

[p]Almere City drew 1-1 against FC Utrecht last week, the fifth time from their last six matches in which they collected points (W2, D3, L1). Alex Pastoor’s team had to make do without suspended club top scorer Thomas Robinet, who becomes available again for selection this weekend. That should come as an enormous relief for the newcomers given he directly contributed to almost half of Almere’s 25 Eredivisie goals (G9, A2) this season.[/p]
[p]Â [/p]
[p]Despite the fact that the Almere squad has by far the least Eredivisie experience on average of all teams in the competition (28 matches per player), they lost just three of their last 12 competitive away games – to AZ, Heerenveen and PSV. All in all, they’re enjoying an excellent debut season at the highest level and could even become a contender for the post-season European play-offs. Whatever happens, their meeting with Vitesse last December – a 5-0 loss – won’t soon be forgotten unless they can put it behind them here.[/p]
[p]Â [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Paxten Aaronson has scored in two of his last three appearances for Vitesse, whilst Yoann Cathline scored in his last two matches for Almere and recorded his maiden goal for the club in the reverse H2H.[/p]
[p]Â [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Vitesse’s record as a home favourite this Eredivisie season is a paltry W1, D3, L2.[/p]
