Bosnia & Herzegovina Ukraine prediction 2024-03-21

Bosnia & Herzegovina vs Ukraine prediction: EUROPE: Euro – Qualification – Promotion betting tips on match 2024-03-20 19:45.
[p]Bosnia & Herzegovina are two games away from their first major tournament appearance since the 2014 World Cup and ending a string of near-misses after losing qualifying play-offs for Euro 2012, 2016 and 2020, as well as the 2010 World Cup. But after losing their last three matches to finish fifth in their qualifying group, they’ll start as the underdogs.[/p]

[p]Even playing in Zenica might not help too much as they’ve won just one of their last four on home soil (L3) and even that was a 2-1 success over FIFA’s second-lowest ranked UEFA nation, Liechtenstein. The Dragons also lost their only previous meeting with Ukraine at home, 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier in 2021, so Savo Milošević’s side are up against it if they’re to set up a meeting with Iceland or Israel.[/p]

[p]Bosnia’s play-off record is poor but Ukraine’s is nothing special either as they’ve failed to progress from six of seven play-offs for major tournaments, although they do have good memories of their spirited run to the Euro 2020 quarter-finals. The Eastern European side only missed out on direct qualification via goal difference following a 0-0 draw with Italy in their last group game, but that result did at least extend their record to just one defeat from their last eight internationals (W4, D3).[/p]

[p]Included in that sequence is a creditable 3-3 draw in Germany and while their form as the nominated away side is nothing spectacular of late (W2, D1, L2), the ongoing conflict in Ukraine means the Blue and Yellow continue to play all matches on foreign soil. Therefore, the prospect of having to win two more fixtures outside of their homeland is something they’ve become all too familiar with.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Bosnia’s Ermedin Demirović has been in fine form for Augsburg, contributing to four goals across his last four games (G2, A2), with both strikes arriving before the 30th minute. Meanwhile, Mykhailo Mudryk, the last player to score a competitive goal for Ukraine, has also found the net in two of Chelsea’s last four outings.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: Bosnia collected more cards than their opponents in each of their last three internationals.[/p]
