Alaves Real Sociedad prediction 2024-03-31

Alaves vs Real Sociedad prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-03-30 16:30.
[p]Alavés are slipping deeper into the bottom half of La Liga’s standings after just one win from their last seven league games (D3, L3), and despite their ten-point cushion to the drop zone, the feeling within the camp is that their place in next season’s top division is not yet assured. Those were the comments of midfielder Ander Guevara, who during the international break revealed to a Spanish publication that “internally, people don’t think it’s done”.[/p]

[p]They have at least collected eight points from their last five league games at home (W2, D2, L1), and whilst carrying that home form forward should be enough to see them over the line, they certainly cannot take their next two home outings against Real Sociedad or Atlético Madrid for granted. That’s because Alavés have defeated just one club beginning this round above them in the standings at any venue (D5, L11), and that was way back on the first weekend of September![/p]

[p]Sociedad got their campaign to remain in European football next season back on track with a pair of wins against relegation contenders Cádiz (2-0 home) and Granada (3-2 away), and with lowly Alavés and Almería their next two opponents, they have an excellent opportunity to tighten their grip on sixth place and perhaps even aim higher. [/p]

[p]But they haven’t been the most dependable of travellers this season, winning just four of their eight La Liga away games as the pre-match favourite (D4). Adding to their vulnerability is a failure to win each of their last three competitive away H2Hs (D2, L1), whilst they also had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate when hosting Alavés in the first week of January. League losses to bottom-half clubs Osasuna (1-0 home) and Sevilla (3-2 away) since then are also signs that things may not necessarily go to plan.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Alavés youngster Samu Omorodion has struck eight times this season, with six of his seven goalscoring games seeing him get the side’s first goal. For Sociedad, the referee best keep an eye on Igor Zubeldia, who has accumulated 14 bookings across all competitions this season and saw yellow in two of his last three H2Hs. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: The half-time result was replicated at full-time in seven of Alavés’ last eight league games.[/p]
