Leeds Hull prediction 2024-04-01

Leeds vs Hull prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-03-31 19:00.
[p]Despite twice falling behind on Good Friday away to Watford, Leeds managed to salvage a 2-2 draw which saw them finish the matchday in the automatic promotion spots. With Leicester and Southampton also dropping points in the race for a top-two finish, Daniel Farke’s men have the chance to cement their position as Hull visit Elland Road – a venue the hosts are unbeaten at in the Championship this season (W15, D4).[/p]

[p]The home crowd will no doubt be ready for a Yorkshire derby having seen their side win four consecutive matches on their own turf – keeping three clean sheets in the process. Leeds’ defence has been fantastic, particularly at home, where they’ve conceded just 12 goals across 19 such matches – the fewest of any side in the division. In fact, the two goals they conceded against Watford were their first in the league from open play in 2024! [/p]

[p]Visiting Hull make the short trip west firmly in the middle of a battle for a play-off finish this season, though a 2-0 home defeat to lowly Stoke on Good Friday will have dampened spirits massively in the away camp. That loss made it five league outings without victory in succession (D4, L1), and despite picking up points against tough opposition in Leicester and West Brom during that run, the wheels are beginning to fall off the Tigers’ promotion push.[/p]

[p]Given Leeds’ recent strong home form, this fixture has arguably come at the worst possible time for Liam Rosenior’s side, especially as they’ve won just four of their last 26 away league H2Hs (D6, L16). That run includes failing to score in six of their last seven visits to Elland Road – a record that won’t inspire much additional confidence. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville netted his 16th league goal of the campaign last time out, with his last five at home all coming after half-time. Hull will hope that Jaden Philogene can find the net again here, as his seven goalscoring outings have ended in a positive result for his side (W5, D2). [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Leeds have lost their last seven league games played on Easter Monday – the longest such run across England’s top four divisions.[/p]
