Norwich Bristol City prediction 2024-04-20

Norwich vs Bristol City prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-04-19 14:00.
[p]Two in-form sides lock horns on Saturday afternoon as sixth-placed Norwich City host Bristol City in 12th. The Canaries have lost only three times in the league since the turn of the year (W11, D4), all against teams in the top nine, and it is their home form which has been particularly impressive as they target their ninth successive victory at Carrow Road in this clash.[/p]

[p]You have to go back to Bonfire Night to find the last time David Wagner’s side were beaten at home and they come into this match after a 1-0 win away at Preston last weekend, a victory which saw them open up a six-point lead from the teams pursuing them for the final play-off spot. Although with seventh-placed Hull and eighth-placed Coventry all having a game in hand, Norwich can not afford to relax just yet.[/p]

[p]Bristol City have taken 11 points from their last five matches and conceded only one goal in the process but, unfortunately for the Robins, eight defeats from their previous 14 (W3, D3) means the play-offs are out of reach for this season. They have lost just once in their last seven and showed plenty of fight to the end last Saturday when they equalised in the 100th minute against relegation threatened Huddersfield Town.[/p]

[p]Liam Manning was “really pleased to get a point, but frustrated with the performance” against the Terriers and will now turn his attention to extending his side’s unbeaten away run to three games, something they have not achieved since September. If he manages to do so then it will be an unfamiliar feeling for Bristol City fans on their way home from Carrow Road, a venue where they have experienced defeat in five of their last six trips (D1)![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Gabriel Sara popped up with his 13th goal of the season at Deepdale – his fifth strike from his last seven games. Nahki Wells is in even better form with four goals from the last four, including the late penalty last weekend, while he is the only Bristol City player to have scored across their last three away matches.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Norwich have not conceded a second-half goal at home in any of their last five matches.[/p]
