Wolfsburg Bochum prediction 2024-04-20

Wolfsburg vs Bochum prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-04-19 13:30.
[p]For the third time in four Bundesliga matches (W1), Wolfsburg conceded three goals in defeat, as their 3-0 loss to RB Leipzig last weekend left them just two points above the Bundesliga’s bottom three. That gives this clash with Bochum, who are one point and one place below them, the feel of a potential relegation ‘six-pointer’ with the hosts not having accumulated this few points after 29 league games since 2010/11![/p]

[p]That campaign saw them finish fourth from bottom by two points after multiple managerial changes, but if they want to avoid another nervous finish to this season, then securing their first home league win since beating Leipzig in late November (D3, L5) would be of great help. Such a result certainly isn’t out of the question given the Wolves won the last four H2Hs here, three of which came ‘to nil’. [/p]

[p]By sacking Thomas Letsch, Bochum were hoping for a late-season ‘new manager bounce’ to get them out of trouble, so a 1-1 draw with Heidenheim in new boss Heiko Butscher’s first game in charge was perhaps a step in the right direction. He was heartened by how his players fought back after Kevin Schlotterbeck first scored a bizarre own goal and then netted their late equaliser.[/p]

[p]After three straight league away losses in which they conceded three goals on each occasion, this trip doesn’t come at an ideal time for the Blues when also factoring in their poor record in Wolfsburg (W4, D1, L10). They’ve struggled away from home right throughout this season too, only beating bottom side Darmstadt on their Bundesliga travels so far (D4, L9).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Wolfsburg could welcome back Maxence Lacroix from a two-game suspension after he registered two goal contributions across his last two appearances (G1, A1) prior to a red card. Another Frenchman rapidly collecting disciplinary points is Bochum’s Anthony Losilla, who was booked in each of their last three fixtures![/p]

[p]Hot stat: Bochum have conceded a league-high 15 goals after the 75th minute in the Bundesliga this term (Wolfsburg: 11).[/p]
