Werder Bremen Stuttgart prediction 2024-04-21

Werder Bremen vs Stuttgart prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-04-20 13:30.
[p]After a thumping 5-0 loss last weekend, Werder Bremen watched Bayer Leverkusen join them as one of the 13 different Bundesliga champions, but the jubilant scenes that ensued when Werder won their latest of four Meisterschales back in 2003/04 couldn’t be further from where they are now. That defeat was the latest in a seven-game winless run (D2, L5) as the River Islanders’ dwindling cushion above the bottom-three continues to cause concern heading into the final stages of the campaign. [/p]

[p]Things won’t get any easier for Werder as they welcome Champions League chasing Stuttgart, with just one victory in ten clashes against top-six opponents ahead of this round leaving the hosts up against it here (W1, D3, L6). That’s not to mention that Werder have failed to win seven of the last eight H2H encounters (W1, D2, L5), although boss Ole Werner can bring some optimism with his solid personal H2H record against the Swabians (W3, D1, L1).  [/p]

[p]Visiting Stuttgart extended their unbeaten run to 11 league games with a 3-0 win over Frankfurt last weekend (W9, D2). Only the new champions Leverkusen have accrued more points across that period and with four wins without reply across the last five rounds, it’s difficult to make a case against them carrying on that form as they look to secure a top-four place early with a seven-point gap to fifth ahead of this round.[/p]

[p]Such an outcome is nothing short of incredible for Stuttgart, who sit 38 points better off than they did at the same stage of last season when they needed a relegation play-off to stay in the division! Since then, they’ve become the third best performing Bundesliga away team, and are curiously still the only side in Germany’s top flight yet to draw a league game on the road (W9, L5). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Werder’s Marvin Ducksch is just one goal shy of making it three straight seasons with at least ten league goals, with his last two strikes coming as match openers within ten minutes. Up against him will be Stuttgart’s Enzo Millot, who’s most recent strike was his first away league goal of the season, while each of his last four were team openers.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Despite their lowly position, Werder Bremen have scored in both halves in half of their home league games this season.[/p]
