Zwolle vs Heracles prediction: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie betting tips on match 2024-04-27 10:15.
[p]PEC Zwolle and Heracles Almelo are currently in remarkably similar positions. Both clubs were promoted to the Eredivisie last summer, briefly faced relegation concerns, but are now almost certain of a longer stay at the highest level. The fact that the clubs have also collected the same number of points (32) along the way also shows how evenly matched they are.[/p]
[p]The club from Zwolle drew 2-2 at high-ranked NEC in the previous round and finally won a point away from home. Their last home match also yielded three points for the first time in a long time and Odysseus Velanas was on the scoresheet in both matches. Club icon Bram van Polen announced on Wednesday that he is hanging up the boots after this season. The oldest outfield player of the competition is in his 17th year of service for Zwolle and is by far the most loyal active player in the Eredivisie.[/p]
[p]Heracles could not get any further than a 2-0 defeat against Heerenveen last round, but after winning two matches in a row, a loss on Frisian soil is forgivable. Things must go terribly wrong from here if they are to be in danger this season, but after an unexpected relegation beset them at the last moment two years ago, the club will be only too happy to have their survival confirmed. Ahead of their previous relegation, Justin Hoogma declared the club safe after 31 rounds, and recently wisely indicated that he no longer makes such daring statements![/p]
[p]The latest H2H history also shows little difference between the teams. They have each won five of the last 12 mutual meetings, though it’s certainly worth mentioning that Heracles could not win any of their last five trips to Zwolle. The last H2H was won by two goals from Emil Hansson, who returned to the training track this week. Whether he has recovered from injury in time to make an impact here remains to be seen.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Younes Namli has delivered seven assists in his last 14 matches, including two in the previous round, whilst Jizz Hornkamp scored five times in his last seven games for Heracles.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Nine of the last ten H2Hs hosted by Zwolle saw both teams score on the day.[/p]
