Granada CF vs Osasuna prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-04-27 14:15.
[p]Granada picked up points in successive La Liga games for the first time since February by drawing with Athletic Club at San Mamés last time out, but despite that positive turn, their time as a Spanish top-flight side appears to be over this campaign. Starting this latest round with a 13-point gap to 17th-placed Celta Vigo and a maximum of 18 points to play for, Granada may need to triple their win count and hope for a miraculous collapse to avoid the seemingly inevitable chop.[/p]
[p]Interim manager José Ramón Sandoval was delighted with their 1-1 draw with Athletic given aggravating circumstances such as the stomach virus that afflicted many players during the week, Myrto Uzuni’s ongoing Achilles tendinopathy, and the mental challenges of likely relegation. Sandoval publicly affirmed the team will be fighting through to the bitter end and could be a formidable opponent for a club such as Osasuna with little to gain nor lose. [/p]
[p]Osasuna still have a mathematical chance of qualifying for European football this term but that looks like a very unlikely prospect after they lost four of their last five league matches, only winning away to last-placed AlmerĂa in the middle of that period. Whilst most of the clubs that defeated the visitors in that time were ahead of them in the battle for UEFA tickets, a 2-1 loss away to lowly Rayo Vallecano last round confirmed it’s now an extensive form slump.[/p]
[p]They were also in a pretty poor patch earlier in the season when defeating Granada 2-0 at home, so they’ve every reason to believe that they can bounce back here and continue their pursuit of matching last season’s tally of 53 points. Their last trip to Granada (W 2-0) in 2021/22 is certainly the only one they’d wish to remember though, for the team failed to win the nine prior (D4, L5) encompassing all competitions played this century.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Granada’s Lucas Boyé hasn’t been a regular goalscorer this season, but each of his last three have all come at home. Similarly, all of José Manuel Arnáiz’s three competitive goals for Osasuna were struck away from home. [/p]
[p]Hot streak: The pre-match favourite has not lost any of Granada’s last 40 league matches at home (W28, D12). [/p]
