Lorient Toulouse prediction 2024-04-28

Lorient vs Toulouse prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-04-27 13:00.
[p]Three points from safety ahead of the round, time is running out for Lorient in their battle to beat the Ligue 1 drop. A six-match winless run has certainly come at an inopportune time (D1, L5), and having won just one of their last ten home league outings (D2, L7), there’s no guarantee they can stop the rot at the Stade du Moustoir when they host Toulouse. [/p]

[p]A five-match winless home H2H run (D2, L3) only serves to cast further doubt over Lorient’s credentials, but knowing their gap to safety could be even wider come the end of the week, they need to end that run here. Having more to play for than their mid-table visitors should work in their favour, but Lorient have peculiarly struggled at home against bottom-half opposition, taking four points as opposed nine against top-half sides. [/p]

[p]Sneaking into that top-half themselves is now all Toulouse realistically have left to play for, with their safety all-but assured. They’re seemingly making a good fist of doing so on the back of a four-match unbeaten league run (W2, D2), and with both of those wins coming on the road to make it five wins from their last six on their league travels (L1), they won’t mind the trip south.[/p]

[p]The fact that sole defeat came against a Le Havre side starting the round a place above Lorient should be enough to urge caution within the ranks. Something else that could rein their optimism in a little is the fact they’ve conceded first in six of their last eight league games, although the fact they bounced back to win three of those shows you can never discount them. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Some of Lorient’s survival hopes rest on the 17-year-old shoulders of Eli Junior Kroupi, who has struck four of his five goals this season before the hour mark. Centre-back Rasmus Nicolaisen was an unlikely scorer in Toulouse’s last outing, and his three goals this term have arrived in either first or second half stoppage time.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Toulouse have the worst points per game ratio in matches where they’ve scored first (1.64 – W5, D3, L3).[/p]
