Brentford Fulham prediction 2024-05-04

Brentford vs Fulham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-05-03 14:00.
[p]With safety and a fourth successive season in the Premier League now assured, Brentford will be keen to end the campaign on a high. A previous five-match unbeaten run was dashed by Everton last week however, with Bees boss Thomas Frank admitting their 1-0 defeat was “quite boring” as his side conceded from the only shot on target they faced! [/p]

[p]That phrase hopefully won’t apply to this Saturday’s showdown with west London rivals Fulham, an opponent Brentford have fared well against in recent years, losing only two of their last ten competitive meetings (W6, D2). That record looks even better when solely examining home meetings, with Brentford winning each of the last four on their own turf.[/p]

[p]Safely embedded in mid-table, Fulham are in danger of seeing their season end on a whimper, with Marco Silva’s men winning just one of their last six matches (D2, L3). Struggles on the road have plagued them all season – only Nottingham Forest, Luton and Sheffield United have managed fewer than their three away wins in the Premier League – but they did triumph in their last match on their travels against West Ham (2-0). [/p]

[p]That victory sets up the possibility of back-to-back away clean sheet victories in the league for the first time since January last year, as well as their first pair of consecutive wins in London derbies as the visitors since August 2003! The fourth worst away record in the division casts doubt on that outcome, although the possibility of a top-half finish and matching last season’s tenth place could be a motivating factor.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Yoane Wissa has netted six times in his last ten games, but Brentford have won just once when he’s found the scoresheet in that sequence (D2, L2). Fulham wing-back Timothy Castagne has stepped up his attacking output of late having directly contributed to a goal in successive appearances – he’s not done so in three league matches in a row since September 2020.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Brentford haven’t conceded in the opening half-hour of their last six home games. [/p]
