Sevilla Granada CF prediction 2024-05-05

Sevilla vs Granada CF prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-05-04 19:00.
[p]With Sevilla sat in the safety of mid-table and all but safe from facing the drop, this fixture against Granada perhaps has a ‘dead rubber’ feel to it for them, but with mathematical safety to potentially be confirmed this weekend, they won’t be on the beach just yet. Courtesy of three wins from their last four (D1) games, and only two defeats since Round 22 (W6, D4), Sevilla have climbed away from the relegation zone and began this round with a 12 point cushion to the bottom three.[/p]

[p]Key to their improvement has been their home form, where they have won three of their last four (L1), a complete turnaround from a ten game winless run in all competitions as hosts prior (D5, L5)! Third boss of the season Quique Sánchez Flores’ has played his part too, as since his appointment in mid-December, he has taken the team from 17th to 13th and most recently led Sevilla to a 1-1 draw away at city rivals Real Betis last Sunday.[/p]

[p]On the same day, 19th-placed Granada extended their unbeaten run to three games (W2, D1) by sweeping aside mid-table Osasuna 3-0. With three of their final five matches against teams currently in the bottom eight, their hopes of another great escape under José Ramón Sandoval, who achieved the same in 2014/15, are starting to grow, even though some unfavorable results could see them relegated this weekend. [/p]

[p]A further note of caution for Granada fans comes with their away form which sees them make the trip west still searching for their first league win on the road this season (D3, L13). Equally, away games against Sevilla have historically been a struggle for the Nasrids, who have won only twice in 23 visits and lost each of their last four. However, Granada did pick up a point against fifth-placed Athletic Bilbao on their last away adventure, illustrating that Sandoval’s side are still fighting![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Sevilla forward Lucas Ocampos has scored in three of the last four H2Hs, including the last two! Meanwhile, Myrto Uzuni has found the net in all four of Granada’s wins this season and has scored five goals across his last eight appearances.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: Sevilla opened the scoring in each of their last five home matches.[/p]
