Italy Bosnia & Herzegovina prediction 2024-06-09

Italy vs Bosnia & Herzegovina prediction: WORLD: Friendly International betting tips on match 2024-06-08 18:45.
[p]Despite a 0-0 draw against Turkey last time out, manager Luciano Spalletti described himself as ‘satisfied’ with Italy’s first friendly match ahead of their trip to Germany this summer where they’ll be defending their crown from Euro 2021. With Spalletti still needing to make the final cuts to his playing squad, expect more personnel changes here as fans will be hopeful of a more convincing performance against Bosnia and Herzegovina.[/p]

[p]There is no need to panic in Italy’s basecamp in Coverciano though, as the Azzurri are unbeaten in five consecutive matches (W3, D2), whilst keeping a clean sheet in three of the last four. A more offensive approach will still be desired overall, as Italy have scored more than twice in just one of their last six outings, though that streak could be improved upon here as the Italians have won three of their four prior H2Hs (D1).[/p]

[p]A 3-0 defeat against England in Newcastle during their last outing made it five consecutive losses for Bosnia, who have also now conceded 14 goals during that run. It comes as little surprise then that the team which is currently ranked 74th in FIFA’s world rankings won’t be participating at this summer’s Euro 2024 tournament in Germany, so instead this match acts as their last before September’s League of Nations duties.[/p]

[p]The appointment of new manager Sergej Barabez back in April has had little effect so far, as Bosnia saw their third consecutive match remain goaless at half-time against England, only to then go on and concede after the break, with four of the last five such strikes all arriving beyond the 80th minute! Their trip to England additionally acted as their fifth consecutive away friendly match in which the Bosnians have failed to even score a single goal (D1, L4), leaving them likely to suffer more disappointment in this one.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: In-form Gianluca Scamacca was rested last Tuesday by Italy due to a busy schedule, but he has seven goal contributions in his last eight appearances for Atalanta (G4, A3). Bosnia captain Edin DĆŸeko didn’t play in his country’s last match either, but he has already scored here at Carlo Castellani stadium when playing against Empoli.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Italy have taken less corners than their opponents in just one of their last eight matches.[/p]
