Everton Bournemouth prediction 2024-08-31

Everton vs Bournemouth prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-08-30 14:00.
[p]After conceding seven times without reply across two demoralising Premier League defeats, Everton bounced back with a much-needed victory over fourth-tier Doncaster in the Carabao Cup in midweek (3-0). They’ll be desperate to follow that up with a first league win of the season against Bournemouth, and six wins from the seven Premier League H2Hs at Goodison Park (L1) should boost confidence. [/p]

[p]Another good omen is that the Toffees also picked up their first home league win of last season against the Cherries, beating them 3-0 in October. A repeat of that would end a pretty rotten record for Sean Dyche, who has so far lost all five of his games in charge of Everton in the month of August. That adds to his own measly Premier League win rate in the month (12.5%) – the worst of any manager in the competition to take charge of ten or more games. [/p]

[p]With Everton’s new stadium set to be open next season, Bournemouth will make their final league visit to Goodison Park looking to build on a steady start to the new season (D2). The Cherries will hold mixed feelings about both 1-1 league draws so far, with a late goal rescuing a point in their opener at Nottingham Forest before another late strike for Newcastle saw victory snatched away. Andoni Iraola’s side could now become the first side since West Brom (2004/05) to draw their opening three Premier League fixtures 1-1. [/p]

[p]Iraola enjoyed a fine first season in charge of Bournemouth, guiding them to their highest-ever Premier League points tally (48). However, improving away form will be key to taking the next step, as including this season’s opener at Forest, they have won just two of their past 11 away league matches (D3, L6) – netting a goal or less in each of the last six. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: New recruit Iliman Ndiaye scored his first Everton goal on his full debut on Tuesday, extending his record to just one defeat in his past 22 goalscoring appearances (W19, D2).  Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo looks ready to step up following Dominic Solanke’s departure. He’s been involved in both of their league goals this season (G1, A1) and ranked second in that department at the club last term. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Everton’s Dyche only has more career wins against Crystal Palace (nine) than he does against Bournemouth as a manager (eight). [/p]
