Bochum B. Monchengladbach prediction 2024-08-31

Bochum vs B. Monchengladbach prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-08-30 13:30.
[p]Less than a week after being stunned by second division side Jahn Regensburg in the DfB-Pokal, a miserable Bochum lost 1-0 once again, this time away to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. Getting a positive result against a Borussia Mönchengladbach side they’ve faced on more occasions than any other (W28, D26, L37) now appears vitally important for a team who only maintained their top flight status via last season’s relegation play-offs.[/p]

[p]A good omen may lie in the fact they’ve lost their second match of any league campaign just once since the 2013/14 season (W5, D5). But they’ll have to go against the grain to extend that record here, having beaten these opponents just once in the last eight H2Hs (D1, L6). Currently on a three-match losing streak in Germany’s top flight, the key to turning results around might be as simple as keeping their first Bundesliga clean sheet in 18 matches![/p]

[p]There were certainly no shutouts to be seen in Mönchengladbach’s last outing as they were beaten by a 101st-minute winner in a 3-2 defeat to reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen. That result extended their winless Bundesliga run to seven straight games (D3, L4) – a worrying sign for a side who finished just one point above the bottom three last season. [/p]

[p]Their recent away form in the Bundesliga is nothing to write home about either, with only two Bundesliga teams (Cologne and Mainz) recording fewer wins on the road than the Foals’ two last season. Much like their hosts, defensive frailty has been a key issue in their struggles, as Mönchengladbach have not recorded an away league shutout since January, so perhaps goals are to be expected here.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Bochum midfielder Felix Passlack could be involved if there proves to be a goalfest, having accumulated four goal contributions (G2, A2) in his last nine Bundesliga outings. Recently signed Mönchengladbach midfielder Kevin Stöger was Bochum’s top scorer last season and has five goal contributions from his last four league outings (G1, A4). [/p]

[p]Hot streak: Bochum let in a second-half goal in each of their last nine Bundesliga home games (inc play-off game), conceding 16 such goals in that time![/p]
