Leganes Mallorca prediction 2024-08-31

Leganes vs Mallorca prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-08-30 19:30.
[p]Newly-promoted Leganés have experienced a La Liga return that has undoubtedly surpassed expectations as they remain unbeaten after three rounds (W1, D2). It’s a quick turnaround after their midweek stalemate against Real Valladolid (0-0), and it’s not something boss Borja Jiménez is best pleased about with his side having little recovery time before playing again.[/p]

[p]He affirmed that he was not trying to use that as an excuse, and in fact his side should be keen to get back out onto the turf as they incredibly haven’t lost in their last eight La Liga outings overall (W4, D4) dating back to their last stint in the top-flight in 2020. Their fortunes against Mallorca haven’t been quite so positive of late, winning just one of the last six H2Hs (D2, L3), and given both teams scored in just one of those games, the first goal here could be key.[/p]

[p]While the hosts can be happy with their start to the campaign, Mallorca will be left wondering whether they’re going to face a season of hardship as they remain winless (D2, L1). They’re no strangers to slow starts having opened their campaign with four winless league outings last season (D2, L2), but for a side trying to avoid a repeat of history, an away game isn’t ideal considering they’ve won only one of their last 17 La Liga road trips (D7, L9).[/p]

[p]They’ve not necessarily been disgraced in that period as six of those defeats came by a single-goal margin, but it’s been a lack of goals that has hindered them with 14 of those games seeing them either score once or not at all. Boss Jagoba Arrasate will know that’s a problem that needs sorting, although having completed a personal H2H double over Leganés whilst in charge of Osasuna in their opponents’ last top-flight campaign, he’ll hope he’s got a solution to Mallorca’s problem. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: A Renato Tapia appearance may not be the blessing it may seem for Leganés, as he’s lost three of his last four personal appearances against Mallorca by a 1-0 scoreline. Vedat Muriqi actually scored the winner in the last of those games and his last four Mallorca goals have all been headers. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only two of Mallorca’s last 17 La Liga games saw the home side on the day score more than once. [/p]
