Udinese Como prediction 2024-09-01

Udinese vs Como prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-08-31 18:45.
[p]After coming precariously close to being relegation from Serie A last season, Udinese have made a very impressive start to the new campaign. Having faced two sides who finished in the top-seven last term, the Little Zebras have accumulated four points so far with their 2-1 victory over Lazio particularly impressive as they played out the final 22 minutes with ten men![/p]

[p]This is now their best start to a season in 13 years – the perfect way for new boss Kosta Runjaić to endear himself to his new fans. The head coach was “satisfied” with his side’s performance in victory over Lazio, but admits they still “need time to improve” if they are to maintain their good results and chase a first top-half finish since 2012/13.[/p]

[p]History suggests Udinese have a strong chance of making it three games unbeaten against visitors Como, who have only won one of the last nine H2Hs (D4, L4). The Blues are also struggling to adapt to life back in Serie A after a 21-year absence, with a 3-0 defeat to Juventus in their first match followed by a 1-1 draw away to Cagliari last week.[/p]

[p]Manager Cesc Fàbregas possibly expected a slow start to the campaign, given that over a dozen new signings arrived at the club in the summer as the first team was given a facelift following their promotion. As such, the head coach is calling for patience as the bedding in process takes place, insisting “it will be a very different-looking team” once they have all got used to how he wants them to play, but he’ll hope by that point his team aren’t already playing catch-up.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: After netting against Lazio, veteran Udinese winger Florian Thauvin has now seen 12 of his last 13 goals arrive beyond half-time. Alberto Cerri is pushing for a start for Como after two appearances from the bench so far this season – he is unbeaten in games in which he has netted since 2020 (W10, D12)![/p]

[p]Hot stat: Seven of Udinese’s last eight home league games have seen both teams score, including four 1-1 draws![/p]
