Hungary Bosnia & Herzegovina prediction 2024-09-10

Hungary vs Bosnia & Herzegovina prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League A betting tips on match 2024-09-09 18:45.
[p]Starting their UEFA Nations League (UNL) campaign with a 5-0 thumping in Düsseldorf by group favourites Germany on Saturday night, Hungary (#31) had never lost by more than two goals in the competition before in their 18 previous games. With this their second consecutive term in League A, they’ll need an improvement on four defeats from their last six matches (W2) if they’re to avoid returning to League B.[/p]

[p]The positive omen for Marco Rossi’s side ahead of Tuesday evening’s clash with Bosnia & Herzegovina is that they are unbeaten on home soil since September 2022, winning nine of their last ten games played in Hungary (D1). If Rossi’s side are to return to winning ways once again, the chances are that any victory will come ‘to nil’ given seven of their last ten wins saw them secure an accompanying clean sheet.[/p]

[p]Bosnia (#75) also conceded five goals in their opener, losing 5-2 to the Netherlands to extend a miserable run to seven defeats in a row, conceding 2+ goals in six of those games. Appointed in April, head coach Sergej Barbarez has only been in charge for the three most recent losses, with the two goals they scored in Eindhoven on Saturday night the first of his short tenure.[/p]

[p]This is Bosnia’s first UNL campaign back in League A having been promoted up as Group B3 winner in the second tier last edition. Since that 2022/23 tournamnet ended, Bosnia have now played 14 games and won just three (L11), and with their previous attempt at this level in the competition seeing them end the 2020/21 campaign winless (D2, L4), the omens aren’t in their favour ahead of this trip.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Hungary’s Dominik Szoboszlai has four goals in his last three appearances at the Puskás Aréna, with all four arriving in the second half. Defender Jusuf Gazibegović has been booked in three of his last four Bosnia appearances, with two of those cautions coming in the second half.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: The designated home side has scored exactly once in each of the last four H2Hs between the two nations.[/p]
