Albania Georgia prediction 2024-09-10

Albania vs Georgia prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League B betting tips on match 2024-09-09 18:45.
[p]Albania came from a goal down against Ukraine on Saturday, defeating them 2-1 for their first H2H win at the seventh attempt. The Red and Blacks have consequently already earned more points in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League (UNL) than they did in their 2022/23 UNL campaign and can add gloss to that performance by finishing this matchday at the top of Group B1 if they beat a Georgia side they haven’t defeated since June 2005 (D4, L2 since).[/p]

[p]The game against Ukraine was an anomaly of sorts as the Albanians had scored first in five of their six preceding UNL encounters (W2, D2, L2). Their inability to keep a clean sheet in any of their last seven UNL outings looms large as a concern though, and having failed to do so in their last six home UNL matches either, Albania could once again find it hard to shut their opponents out.[/p]

[p]Extending their dream summer run from the Euros, Georgia thumped Czech Republic 4-1 on Saturday to announce their League B arrival in style, having earned promotion in the last cycle. The result also marked the fourth time in their last six matches that one team had scored at least three times, keeping up the excitement factor for neutrals.[/p]

[p]That convincing triumph against the Czechs was Georgia’s sixth across their last seven UNL games (D1), and with 20 goals aggregated over those wins and four of those victories coming by a 3+ goal margin, this competition continues to bring the best out of them. The Crusaders are yet to lose on the road in this competition (W6, D3), and the goals could also keep coming to live up to their recent trend, as they have scored ten times in their last three away UNL wins.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Jasir Asani marked his UNL debut by scoring the winner against Ukraine, extending his run of victories to five when finding the net for Albania. From the visiting camp, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored and assisted in Georgia’s triumph over the Czech Republic, making it the ninth time in his ten UNL appearances that he has directly contributed to a goal (G7, A6).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Five of Georgia’s last eight UNL away games have seen the match opener arrive in the first 20 minutes.[/p]
