Lazio Verona prediction 2024-09-16

Lazio vs Verona prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-09-15 18:45.
[p]It’s been a perfectly split start to the Serie A season for Lazio (W1, D1, L1), who can take heart from the fact all four of their points came on home soil. They’ve been fortunate enough to be handed three of their first four league games at home, with Hellas Verona next up at the Stadio Olimpico, a fixture that Lazio should be relishing with a seven game unbeaten home run in tow (W5, D2). [/p]

[p]The capital club have been equally as formidable in home H2Hs, suffering just one defeat from the last 17 meetings they’ve hosted (W12, D4). New Lazio boss Marco Baroni will no doubt want to see another win added to that column more than most as he faces off against the side he managed last season, but he’s actually won just one of six personal H2Hs against Verona, losing each of the last three ‘to nil’.[/p]

[p]Paolo Zanetti was the man tasked with replacing Baroni in the Verona dugout, and he’s impressed in the infancy of his new role, guiding his side to two wins from their first three league games (L1). Backing that up against a Lazio side he’s never won a managerial H2H against (D1, L3) may be problematic, but a 2-0 away win against Genoa prior to the international break should be a huge confidence boost. [/p]

[p]Verona have shown some impressive away league form of late, losing just one of their last six Serie A road trips (W3, D2), although that sole defeat came against Lazio! History would suggest there’s a strong possibility that the draw column will equal itself out against the wins here, as seven of Verona’s last 11 Monday-held Serie A games have ended level (W2, L2). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Lazio’s Taty Castellanos has scored in both of their home league games this season – he’s scored the second goal of the game in all five of his home scoring appearances for the club. Verona’s Jackson Tchatchoua is usually in the thick of the action, either scoring or receiving a yellow card in all four club appearances this season (G1, YC3).[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Ahead of the round, Verona are one of three Serie A teams yet to score a first-half goal. [/p]
