Osasuna Las Palmas prediction 2024-09-21

Osasuna vs Las Palmas prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-09-20 14:15.
[p]After a mixed start to their La Liga campaign (W2, D1, L2), Osasuna now gear up to host Las Palmas. Despite coming into this one off the back of a 3-1 travelling defeat to Rayo Vallecano, after which Osasuna boss Vincente Moreno stated his side simply “couldn’t find a way to score”, a return to home comforts might be just the remedy needed considering they’re unbeaten in their last five such outings (W2, D3) – with both those wins arriving this campaign. [/p]

[p]Despite that positive run, scoring has not been something that has come easily, as they’ve managed just seven goals from their last seven home La Liga outings. Interestingly, they haven’t failed to find the back of the net in a H2H since 1986/87 (W4, D6, L2) which will raise spirits, especially having not lost at home to this opposition in the Spanish top-flight since 1984/85 (W4, D3)![/p]

[p]Perhaps they’ll fancy their chances of continuing that run here, with only Real Valladolid letting in more goals than leaky Las Palmas’ ten to kick-off the La Liga season. That rate of conceding means that the island club sit within the bottom three after collecting just two points from 15 and worryingly, their winless run in the Spanish top-flight now stands at a whopping 19 matches (D7, L12)![/p]

[p]They won’t sound the alarms just yet, after surviving relegation despite starting last season’s La Liga campaign in an identical manner. But with this season also being their joint-worst start to a top-flight season by way of points since 1951, keeping just a second clean sheet since February might be the key to recording a positive outcome here, just like last season when they went on to win their sixth league outing (1-0 over Granada). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Last season’s top scorer for Osasuna, Ante Budimir will be hoping to get off the mark here after registering just one goal contribution so far this season, especially as he scored the last time his side hosted Las Palmas. It could be forward Sandro Ramírez that inspires Las Palmas here, with the forward striking three goals from five outings this season, while he opened the scoring in an away personal H2H back in November 2020![/p]

[p]Hot stat: Las Palmas have netted just twice from their last seven La Liga away outings![/p]
