Wolfsburg Stuttgart prediction 2024-09-28

Wolfsburg vs Stuttgart prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-09-27 13:30.
[p]It has been a far from ideal start to the 2024/25 campaign for Wolfsburg, whose three-point haul (W1, L3) is their joint second-lowest after four matches in 23 years. The pressure is therefore growing on manager Ralph Hasenhüttl, who admits his team were not “strong enough defensively” as they were beaten 4-3 by Bayer Leverkusen in their most recent outing, conceding in the 93rd minute shortly after having Yannick Gerhardt sent off.[/p]

[p]That result, which followed a 2-1 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt, means that the Wolves are at risk of losing three successive Bundesliga games in one season for the first time since March, a sequence that cost Hasenhüttl’s predecessor, Niko Kovač, his job. A return to the Volkswagen Arena may not be enough to kickstart Wolfsburg’s campaign though, as they have registered just two wins there in their last 13 league attempts (D3, L8).[/p]

[p]That could be good news for visitors Stuttgart, who have a fairly miserable away H2H record, having won only two of their last 15 such meetings (D1, L12). The Reds, who did at least pick up one of those victories last season, should make the journey north full of confidence however, given that they thrashed a previously unbeaten Borussia Dortmund 5-1 in their last game.[/p]

[p]Sebastian Hoeneß praised his side for an “outstanding performance” in that encounter, which gives them a chance of picking up a third successive Bundesliga win in this clash. He may be preoccupied though by an upcoming meeting with Sparta Prague in the UEFA Champions League, a competition in which they need to bounce back after losing their opening league fixture 3-1 to Real Madrid, which might impact his team selection here. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Wolfsburg captain Maximilian Arnold will be keen to get on the scoresheet, as he has lost just two of the 22 games in which he has netted since the start of the 2018/19 season (W18, D2). Deniz Undav may be tasked with leading the line for the visitors, and nine of his last 13 goals at club level have come after half-time.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Wolfsburg are yet to draw a competitive game under Hasenhüttl (W6, L7).[/p]
