RB Leipzig Juventus prediction 2024-10-02

RB Leipzig vs Juventus prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-10-01 19:00.
[p]A 4-0 thrashing of Augsburg on Saturday halted a three-game winless run in all competitions for RB Leipzig (D2, L1), which included a 2-1 defeat to Atlético Madrid in their UEFA Champions League (UCL) opener. With the arrival of Juventus on matchday two, the Red Bulls will be eager to write their own piece of history as they are yet to beat Italian opposition at home in European competition (D1, L1).  [/p]

[p]Leipzig have lost two of their last four European home games (W2) – as many as in their previous ten at Red Bull Arena (W4, D4). Marco Rose’s men are unbeaten across their last nine competitive home outings however (W6, D3), while they’re yet to concede on their own turf this season (W2, D1), so there’s every chance they can get their UCL campaign back on track here.[/p]

[p]A perfect second-half performance against Genoa on Saturday (3-0) ended a frustrating league run of three consecutive goalless draws for Juventus. It’s been ‘all or nothing’ for the Old Lady in 2024/25, as they have scored exactly three times in each of their four victories this season but have failed to find the net in all three stalemates. [/p]

[p]Thankfully for new head coach Thiago Motta, his team were on song against PSV in their UCL opener (W 3-1), leading 2-0 at half-time. However, history suggests that Juve will find a victory in Leipzig hard to come by, as they have failed to win any of their last five UCL away matches (D1, L4). Given that the Bianconeri have conceded just once in seven games this term though, their defence could certainly play a key part in ending that poor sequence of results. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: After a first-half brace against Augsburg, Benjamin Šeško has now scored seven of his eight goals this season for club and country before the break, including Leipzig’s only UCL strike so far. Dušan Vlahović netted a brace in seven second-half minutes on Saturday, meaning that three of his four goals this campaign have arrived within ten minutes of the restart.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Four of Juventus’ last five matches were goalless at half-time.[/p]
