Maccabi Tel Aviv Midtjylland prediction 2024-10-03

Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Midtjylland prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-10-02 16:45.
[p]As Maccabi Tel Aviv gear up for a first ever European H2H with a Danish club, they’re in need of a recovery after recent struggles. They followed up a 2-1 defeat against Braga in their UEFA Europa League (UEL) opener – in which they conceded twice beyond the 85th minute and finished the game with nine men – with a disappointing 1-1 draw in domestic action at the weekend.[/p]

[p]However, the Yellows enjoyed a nine-game winning run across all competitions prior to that blip, with four of those victories coming in the UEL. Forced to play their European home game in Belgrade, boss Žarko Lazetić will hope his side can transfer their strong European home form to neutral ground as they’d won ten of their last 12 UEFA home matches (L2), scoring at least three goals in seven of those wins.[/p]

[p]Midtjylland arrive in Serbia full of confidence, unbeaten in six matches (W4, D2) including a 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim on matchday one of the UEL. While they were only denied victory against the Germans by a 90th minute equaliser, it continued a very impressive start to the Wolves’ European campaign that’s seen them lose just once in seven outings (W3, D3).[/p]

[p]That one defeat landed Thomas Thomasberg’s men in the UEL rather than the Champions League, but recent history suggests they’ll struggle in this competition. Just one win across their last seven such matches (D4, L2) underlines their problem, with away form on the continent a particular concern considering they’ve won just two of their last 20 European away games (D5, L13)![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Dor Turgeman could be key to Maccabi’s fortunes, as he directly contributed to five goals in four UEL qualifiers this term (G3, A2), having a hand in the second goal of the match in all four! Looking to beat him to the punch could be Aral Şimşir, who was also involved in the second goal of the match in European action twice for Midtjylland this term.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: None of Midtjylland’s last eight matches, or Maccabi’s last eight, have been goalless at half-time.[/p]
