Jagiellonia Petrocub prediction 2024-10-24

Jagiellonia vs Petrocub prediction: EUROPE: Conference League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-10-23 16:45.
[p]Jagiellonia Białystok’s first ever match in the main draw of any European competition produced one of the biggest upsets of matchday one of the UEFA Conference League when they toppled Copenhagen 2-1 away from home in dramatic fashion. Jagiellonia found themselves 1-0 down during the 12th minute, but a clearly inspirational half-time team talk by 32-year-old manager Adrian Siemieniec inspired his team to not only find an equaliser in the 51st minute, but go on to net a 97th minute winner![/p]

[p]The Jaga’s ability to fight back is especially commendable considering they had lost their prior four matches on the continental circuit, all in higher tier competitions and with three of them coming by a margin of three goals. The Chorten Arena faithful won’t be paying any attention to that as they gear up for their first experience of the league phase, with the hope their troops can capitalise on having lost just three of their last 12 home matches in all competitions (W7, D2). [/p]

[p]Their first visitors in this setting will be Moldovan champions Petrocub Hîncești, who are also participating in their inaugural group/league stage of any UEFA competition. Unfortunately their start to life on the big European stage didn’t quite mimic the euphoria of their hosts, as they went down 4-1 to Paphos at home despite opening the scoring. [/p]

[p]That was the Black and Whites’ 14th defeat in what was their 26th match in continental action (W5, D7), but that didn’t deter them from hitting the road in their next outing and claiming a 5-0 win over Floreşti in the Moldovan Super Liga. That type of ruthless goal scoring prowess has been lacking for them in Europe, as they’ve scored 2+ goals just once in those 26 prior UEFA matches.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Afimico Pululu was Jagiellonia’s saviour with a goal and an assist against Copenhagen, and he’ll look to be the hero here once again since ten of his 12 competitive goals prior to that all came at home. Looking to undercut him will be Petrocub’s scorer from matchday one, Teodor Lungu, who registered the match opener in four of his last seven goalscoring outings. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Jagiellonia drew just one of their last 20 matches across all tournaments (W12, L7).[/p]
