Anderlecht Ludogorets prediction 2024-10-24

Anderlecht vs Ludogorets prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-10-23 19:00.
[p]After enjoying a solid start to their latest Belgian Pro League campaign, Anderlecht returned from October’s international break with a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Beerschot in league action. That was just their second defeat in 11 outings in the competition (W4, D5), solid form which has bled into their UEFA Europa League (UEL) campaign this term as they’ve won both of their opening matches 2-1 against Ferencváros and then Real Sociedad. [/p]

[p]As a result, the 1982/83 winners of this competition’s predecessor could now win their opening three games in a single major European campaign for the first time since 2011/12. Maintaining their 100% winning record here won’t be easy, but with their only prior home H2H with Ludogorets ending in victory inside 90 minutes (2-1), the home faithful will be confident of a repeat of that winning outcome here. [/p]

[p]That’s even more likely when taking a look through Ludogorets recent European woes, especially as they’ve failed to score in this year’s UEL league phase whilst also mustering the fewest shots on target of any side in the process (3). To make matters even worse, the reigning Bulgarian champions are also winless across their last 13 away games in the UEL main draw (D4, L9), a run they need to snap quickly if qualification is to be achieved this campaign. [/p]

[p]What should boost morale instead is the away side’s stunning start to their latest domestic league campaign, where they’ve won ten of their opening 11 matches (D1), including a 2-0 success against Septemvri at the weekend. That made it four clean sheets in succession for the visitors, who will now look to improve upon their record of losing three of their prior four meetings with Belgian sides in European action (W1). [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Anderlecht’s Kasper Dolberg has plenty of experience in this competition, scoring seven goals across 18 main draw competition appearances since his debut in 2016, with one of those coming as a decisive strike on matchday one. Ludogorets winger Rick has enjoyed an impressive start to this season, recording 11 goal contributions in total (G5, A6) – four of those goals have been decisive in victory. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: None of Ludogorets’ last nine competitive matches have witnessed both sides score. [/p]
