Real Sociedad Osasuna prediction 2024-10-27

Real Sociedad vs Osasuna prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-10-26 20:00.
[p]Sunday’s La Liga action comes to a close in San Sebastián, as Real Sociedad seek to extend their unbeaten run of league games to five (W2, D2) after their midweek jaunt to Serbia in the Europa League where they beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-1. Some solid recent league form perhaps papers over the cracks of what has been a poor start to the season for Sociedad, who have not posted a lower points return at this stage of any of their last eight top-flight seasons.[/p]

[p]A home return often brings with it expectation of a result, especially after avoiding defeat in their last two league outings on home soil (W1, D1). Further confidence can be taken from the fact that boss Imanol Alguacil has avoided defeat more often against Osasuna than any other side in his career (W8, D3, L1), though that sole defeat kicked off a poor run of home form of late (W4, D2, L7). [/p]

[p]Osasuna have had the advantage of no European football in midweek, yet remain firm outsiders for this clash despite avoiding defeat in four of their last five league games (W2, D2), and in both league H2Hs last season (W1, D1). Not a side to be defined by the odds, Osasuna have avoided defeat in four of their six league games as outsiders this term (W2, D2, L2), contributing to a stronger La Liga start than in eight of the last ten attempts. [/p]

[p]Despite the positives, Osasuna are yet to win away from home this season (D2, L2), conceding two goals per game on average whilst taking the lead just once. That’s their longest wait for an away win since a seven-game sequence between 2023 and early 2024, although that run ended with a slender 1-0 win against Real Sociedad.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Takefusa Kubo has opened the scoring with both of his Sociedad goals this season, extending his run of victorious scoring appearances to seven games in the process. Trying to stop him will be the likes of Osasuna defender Abel Bretones, who has also proven handy at the opposite end of the pitch, scoring in two of their four league wins. [/p]

[p]Hot streak: Each of the last nine league H2Hs have produced under 2.5 total goals.[/p]
