Bayern Munich Union Berlin prediction 2024-11-02

Bayern Munich vs Union Berlin prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-11-01 14:30.
[p]After finally losing their grip on the Bundesliga title last season, Bayern Munich have started this new campaign like a side hell-bent on winning it back. As we enter gameweek nine, it’s only themselves and RB Leipzig who remain unbeaten in the division, with both sitting in first and second sharing an identical record (W6, D2). Leipzig travel to Borussia Dortmund this weekend for a tough away game, so Bayern know this could be a golden chance to open a gap at the top if they get a victory. [/p]

[p]Bayern bounced back in style from the painfully disappointing 4-1 loss to Barcelona in Champions League action last week by mauling Bochum 5-0. They have another trip away to Mainz in the DFB-Pokal in midweek before getting back in front of their home fans where the locals will hope to see the Bavarians continue their scintillating attacking displays which have delivered 16 goals in just four competitive home matches so far this season (W3, D1). [/p]

[p]While Union Berlin felt the full force of Bayern’s attacking talents back in April when falling to a 5-1 league defeat, their showing at this venue last season was much more valiant, eventually losing 1-0. They can take some heart from that result, but it still extended their winless Bundesliga record against their hosts to ten matches (D3, L7). [/p]

[p]What is likely to provide the away side with more confidence is instead their form coming into this contest. Including the back end of the previous campaign, Union have lost only one of their previous nine league outings (W5, D3) and none of their past three. They also have an easier midweek cup test, on paper at least, travelling to take on third-tier Arminia Bielefeld. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: It’s really hard to look past the experienced Harry Kane causing more havoc here given he’s scored half of Bayern’s 16 home goals so far this season. For Union, teenage wing-back Tom Rothe looks like he has a big future ahead given that he’s registered five goal contributions in six matches for club and country. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: There have been five combined goals scored beyond the 70th minute across Union’s previous five away league matches. [/p]
