Monza AC Milan prediction 2024-11-02

Monza vs AC Milan prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-11-01 19:45.
[p]Clinging on desperately to keep themselves above the bottom-three, Monza have two difficult tasks at home coming up after their three-game unbeaten run in Serie A came to an end on the road. Head coach Alessandro Nesta was left fuming by an on-field decision that denied his team an equaliser in a 2-0 loss at Atalanta, with that defeat just the third they’ve suffered from eight league games as an underdog this term (W1, D4). [/p]

[p]Yet to record a Serie A home victory this season (D3, L2), Monza haven’t helped their cause by conceding the opening goal in four of those five matches, but the players demonstrated enormous heart by producing four equalisers across the most recent three (D2, L1). Draws at Stadio Brianteo against Inter Milan and Roma demonstrate their capability of at least matching AC Milan. [/p]

[p]AC Milan’s own aspirations took another hit when they were outclassed by league leaders Napoli (2-0) in midweek, prolonging their worst start to a Serie A season since 2019/20. That particular campaign saw Marco Giampaolo face the axe after just seven rounds, and whilst current manager Paulo Fonseca may be pleading for patience behind the scenes, in front of the cameras he declared he’s “more confident than ever” about their chances of success. [/p]

[p]He believes the team showed positive signs of “changing and growing” against Napoli, but there could be some concerns that Milan were thrashed away to Monza last season (L 4-2) one week after beating Napoli at home (1-0). Fonseca will hope they can avenge that loss, and there have been some encouraging performances away to higher placed opponents such as Lazio (D 2-2) and Inter (W 2-1) already this season for the Rossoneri to build upon. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Milan Đurić could be the one to spring an early surprise on Milan – seven of his last nine league goals came at home, and six of those nine were recorded prior to half-time. Tijjani Reijnders returns from suspension looking to back up the brace he scored against Club Brugge in his most recent appearance. The Dutchman netted against Monza last season as well as in a pre-season friendly against them in August. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Monza are yet to concede more than two goals in a Serie A game this season[/p]
