Inter Venezia prediction 2024-11-03

Inter vs Venezia prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-11-02 19:45.
[p]Inter Milan sparked into life in the second-half to defeat Empoli 3-0 on Wednesday, both extending their unbeaten run (W6, D1) and keeping them within four points of Serie A leaders Napoli after ten rounds. With two of their next three matches at the San Siro coming against Arsenal and Napoli – matches that are likely to be crucial for their European and domestic fortunes – the Nerazzurri will be keen to warm up with victory against Venezia this weekend. [/p]

[p]That looks achievable based on their recent endeavours in this fixture, as the hosts have won their last six home league H2Hs!  But after starting their league campaign with consecutive wins on home turf, Simone Inzaghi’s men will need to address their recent three-match indifferent home league form (W1, D1, L1). Having conceded eight goals across those three games, Inter will first and foremost be looking to plug holes in their defence. [/p]

[p]Venezia will likely arrive with the confidence that they can cause problems after collecting four points from their last two league games and subsequently moving off the bottom of the league. That included a 3-2 win over Udinese on Wednesday where they came from two goals down – the first time they’d won a Serie A game from such a position since January 1999. But consistency has been an issue, displayed clearly by the fact that another triumph here would make it consecutive top-flight wins for Venezia for the first time since November 2021![/p]

[p]Lifting their game on the road has been challenging back in top-flight, as Eusebio Di Francesco’s men haven’t won an away league game this season (D2, L4). Four of those matches saw the match opening goal arrive by the 15th minute, so don’t be surprised if there’s some early goalmouth action here! [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Joel Pohjanpalo scored Venezia’s opening goal in four of his last five scoring games for the club, with each goal coming after the 40th minute. Lautaro MartĂnez will be looking to continue his good form – he assisted and scored Inter’s last two league goals this season, whilst also netting their last goal in a 2-0 H2H win in November 2021. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Six of the last eight league H2Hs were won by the home team on the day, with only one victory for the away team.[/p]
