Stuttgart Atalanta prediction 2024-11-06

Stuttgart vs Atalanta prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-11-05 20:00.
[p]Two teams propping up the top half of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) table ahead of round four will meet for the first time ever on Wednesday evening as Stuttgart host Atalanta at MHPArena. Since losing their opening two competitive fixtures of the season, the German side have been very hard to beat, with only two of Europe’s finest, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, getting the better of them in 13 games (W6, D5) in all competitions since then. [/p]

[p]It was another European giant who they came up against in round three, but Stuttgart returned from Turin with a famous 1-0 win over Juventus and in doing so picked up their first UCL victory since 2009 (D2, L2). Manager Sebastian Hoeneß thought that game was “deservedly won” and will be relishing another match-up with an Italian outfit, particularly with this one at home, where his side have now not lost in over a year (W14, D6)![/p]

[p]Atalanta may well prove to be their toughest opponent in that period though as the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League (UEL) winners, who were unbeaten away from home in that campaign (W3, D3), have won six of their last seven (D1) in all competitions. They’ve conceded only two goals in the process, and have kept clean sheets in all three of their UCL games so far this season (W1, D2).[/p]

[p]La Dea also hold a solid record against German clubs, with only two defeats from nine H2Hs (W4, D3), and were the side that ended Bayer Leverkusen’s 51-match unbeaten run in the UEL final in May. Their result on Sunday should also serve as a big warning for Stuttgart., who were far too strong for Serie A table toppers Napoli, this side who had the meanest defence in the division at kick-off, but Atalanta brushed them aside 3-0![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Eight of Enzo Millot’s last nine goals for Stuttgart have been their first of the game, and the French attacking midfielder is in excellent UCL form, with a goal and an assist across the last two such matches. All three of Raoul Bellanova’s goal contributions (G1, A2) have come in away encounters this season, including an assist at Napoli on Sunday and a header against Shakhtar Donetsk in this competition.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Atalanta have not conceded a first-half goal in their last six European games.[/p]
