Galatasaray Tottenham prediction 2024-11-07

Galatasaray vs Tottenham prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-11-06 17:45.
[p]Galatasaray enjoyed a week off after defeating rivals Besiktas 2-1 last Monday to steal a further march on their opposition at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig standings. With nine wins from their opening ten match days in the league (D1), Okan Buruk’s side couldn’t have hoped for a much better start to their domestic campaign. Given that they remain unbeaten in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) league phase after three rounds (W2, D1), progression to the European knockout rounds already looks likely. [/p]

[p]What could be less morale boosting for the home side is a look at their recent form against English sides ahead of this first ever meeting in European competition against Tottenham. That’s because the Turkish outfit have won just one of their last six such outings (D2, L3) so will be reliant on their attacking players to deliver again and add further to their joint competition high nine strikes.[/p]

[p]That could be difficult to do against a Spurs side who have enjoyed plenty of defensive solidity in the Europa League so far this season. To this point, the visitors have conceded a joint-low one goal through their opening three league phase outings, all three of which have ended in victory.[/p]

[p]The London outfit made the long trip to Istanbul in fine spirits too from a Premier League perspective as, despite falling behind to Aston Villa at the weekend, they turned that match around to win 4-1. Winning just one of their prior three meetings with Turkish outfits (D1, L1) could serve as a warning ahead of kick-off, and with this potentially their first league game phase as an underdog, they won’t be taking this game lightly. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Victor Osimhen has netted four goals across his last four Turkish Süper Lig matches for Galatasaray and will be looking to score his first goal in this competition since October 2021. Spurs midfielder James Maddison netted his 50th Premier League goal at the weekend and could be a key player for the away side here as he has eight goal contributions across his prior 13 UEL outings (G3, A5).  [/p]

[p]Hot stat: No side received fewer yellow cards than Tottenham (one) in this season’s Europa  League league phase ahead of this round.  [/p]
