Mainz Dortmund prediction 2024-11-09

Mainz vs Dortmund prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-11-08 14:30.
[p]Bo Henriksen arrived at Mainz in February and worked miracles to guide the 05ers to safety, but so far this term, his side aren’t hitting anywhere near the same heights. Sat just two points above the Bundesliga’s relegation zone, Henriksen’s side have won only twice in the league this season (D4, L3) and are winless in three such games (D2, L1).[/p]

[p]Mainz have never waited longer for a Bundesliga win with the Danishman in charge, but the record now appears under threat. The 05ers’ Achilles’ heel so far has been a dismal home record, failing to win any of their first five league games at the Mewa Arena this season (D2, L3) – only rock bottom Bochum (1) have picked up fewer points on home soil than the two they’ve managed. [/p]

[p]Strangely though, this weekend’s visitors Dortmund remain winless on their travels in the league this term (D1, L3), with this their worst start to a Bundesliga campaign on the road since the 1989/90 season! BVB’s perfect home form has proven enough to keep them in the mix for the European spots in the early stages of the season though, and a positive result here could see them break into the top four.[/p]

[p]Nuri Şahin’s side will be well aware of the threat posed by Mainz though having not won any of the last three H2Hs (D2, L1), with that run including the draw which cost them the league title on the final day of the 2022/23 season. Having lost the most recent meeting 3-0 back in May however, prior to Şahin’s summer appointment, the positive omen is that Dortmund have never lost back-to-back Bundesliga H2Hs.[/p]

[p]Key battle: Serhou Guirassy has 16 goal involvements (G13, A3) in 14 appearances for club and country so far this season with four of his five Bundesliga strikes this term coming in the second half. Jonathan Burkardt’s return to fitness will be timely for Mainz having scored five goals in his last eight appearances – they remain unbeaten when he’s scored this season.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: Dortmund head coach Nuri Ĺžahin won seven of his last nine H2Hs with Mainz as a player (D1, L1).[/p]
