Atalanta Udinese prediction 2024-11-10

Atalanta vs Udinese prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-11-09 11:30.
[p]Before a 2-0 win over Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, Atalanta clinched a stunning 3-0 triumph over Napoli last weekend for their fifth consecutive league victory and opened up the Serie A title race by moving to within three points of the leaders. Manager Gian Piero Gasperini was quick to say that they “are not thinking about the Scudetto yet” though, but with an average of 3.6 goals over their last five top-flight games, La Dea seem to be serious early contenders.[/p]

[p]Playing Udinese is perhaps a further positive omen as Atalanta are unbeaten in the last 13 H2Hs (W8, D5), a sequence that includes one of their biggest-ever Serie A victories (7-1 in October 2019). That result came at the Gewiss Stadium, where the hosts have won their last three league games in a row, scoring 13 goals in the process.[/p]

[p]That’s perhaps bad news for Udinese, who are coming off a 2-0 defeat to Juventus – their fifth loss in their last seven top-flight matches (W2). Both goals were conceded in the first half, leaving head coach Kosta Runjaić frustrated that they didn’t “play well for the entire ninety minutes” as recent results have erased all the positives of starting the Serie A season with a four-game unbeaten run (W3, D1).[/p]

[p]Udinese’s struggles have been evident away from home, having lost their three previous such matches – their worst sequence on the road since May 2023 (L5). Their troubles could continue on this trip going by their historical record, as the Little Zebras have won just one of their last 16 Serie A H2Hs on their travels (D8, L7), with that lone victory coming way back in December 2016.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Mateo Retegui could look to get Atalanta on the board here, as he has scored six of his last eight club goals at this venue, with five of those coming before the hour mark. Udinese’s first strike, meanwhile, could come from Lorenzo Lucca, who has netted their match opener with five of his last six league goals.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Atalanta have scored at least twice in each of their last ten Serie A home games.[/p]
