Azerbaijan vs Estonia prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League C betting tips on match 2024-11-15 14:00.
[p]UEFA Nations League (UNL) Group C1 has been awfully unkind to Azerbaijan, who find themselves bottom of the pile with a miserable four losses from their four games. Fernando Santos’ men have at least been consistent in that time, losing each of their matches by exactly two goals, with three of those results ending in a 3-1 defeat.[/p]
[p]One of those losses came against upcoming opponents Estonia last month, which saw their poor H2H record worsen to just two wins from their 11 meetings (D5, L4). Some therefore may find it odd then that the transcontinental nation are listed as clear betting favourites here, but that could be driven by the fact their last five defeats on home soil have all come against teams currently in the top 50 of the FIFA rankings.[/p]
[p]Estonia will be keen to burst that bubble, although that recent success over Azerbaijan accounts for all their points during this UNL campaign. To compound matters, they failed to score in those three other matches, starting off with a 1-0 loss to Slovakia and following on from that disappointment with a pair of 3-0 defeats against Sweden. [/p]
[p]Those results mean that Estonia have lost 11 of their 18 games as a League C nation (W2, D5), but despite that record, another rare win here, or even a draw, would see them maintain their current status for another campaign. It seems that feat may need to be earned in their final group encounter against Slovakia though, as the Blueshirts have tasted defeat in nine of their last 11 matches on foreign soil (W1, D1). [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Azerbaijan’s Toral Bayramov has had a hand in all three of his country’s goals this UNL campaign (G2, A1) and has netted two of his four international goals against Estonia. The visitors’ hopes may lie at the feet of Mihkel Ainsalu, who has scored five of his last six goals away from home for club side Levadia.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Six of Azerbaijan’s last seven games have seen both teams score.[/p]
