Latvia Armenia prediction 2024-11-17

Latvia vs Armenia prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League C betting tips on match 2024-11-16 14:00.
[p]This final round UEFA Nations League (UNL) clash brings a key meeting between Latvia and Armenia, both of whom could still be promoted or relegated from Group C4. With identical records (W1, D1, L3), both could still catch second-placed Faroe Islands if they slip up against group winners North Macedonia, and if there is a winner in Riga, the loser will be consigned to the relegation play-offs.[/p]

[p]Latvia head into Sunday’s game knowing that anything but a win will see them compete in those relegation play-offs, as even a draw would see them remain fourth due to an inferior H2H record. Now having won just two of nine games under Paolo Nicolato (D3, L4), finishing bottom would leave open the possibility of a return to League D after just a single cycle in League C having been promoted last term.[/p]

[p]Armenia haven’t won a game since the reverse fixture in September (D1, L3), which was their opening game in this UNL campaign. With former boss Oleksandr Petrakov having been dismissed from the hot seat last month and Suren Chakhalyan placed in caretaker charge, if things don’t go to plan from here on in, it could end with a second consecutive relegation in the competition.[/p]

[p]The Caucasus nation have six goals to their name in the UNL this term, which seems positive until realising that four of those came in that first game against Latvia. Having since failed to score in each of their three defeats, including Thursday’s loss against the Faroe Islands, Armenia are seemingly struggling at both ends given they’ve conceded 2+ goals in each of their last five UNL away games.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Jānis Ikaunieks returns from suspension for Latvia, with both of his bookings in the UNL to date coming in the second half, including the one he picked up in the reverse fixture. Lucas Zelarayán scored in that game in Yerevan, and has won two of three H2Hs with Latvia overall, though the one he did lose was an away game.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: The designated host nation has won each of the last four H2Hs between this pair.[/p]
