Albania vs Ukraine prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League B betting tips on match 2024-11-18 19:45.
[p]Heading into this final round of fixtures in the UEFA Nations League (UNL), Group B1 hangs in the balance, with Albania and Ukraine sat third and fourth respectively, but both still able to be promoted and relegated! A win for either side would at least guarantee a second-placed finish, which would earn entry into the promotion play-offs, but for Albania, the ultimate goal will be top spot and automatic promotion.[/p]
[p]Albania have scored just three goals in their five games of this UNL campaign so far, but are only kept out of the top two on goal difference as things stand. With seven points to their name (W2, D1, L2), and on the back of a goalless draw against the Czech Republic, another point here could be enough to break into the top two and keep hopes of a second promotion in the UNL alive. For that to happen, Sylvinho’s side would have to rely on the Czechs beating Georgia in the group’s other game.[/p]
[p]Ukraine, currently sat two points behind Albania and second-placed Georgia, must win in Tirana to stand any chance of not being automatically relegated to Division C for the first time in UNL history. Serhiy Rebrov’s side lost their first two games of the campaign, but are now on a three-match unbeaten run (W1, D2) and have scored exactly one goal in every game of that sequence.[/p]
[p]Victory would give them a chance at breaking into the top two dependent on the result in the group’s other game, however wider form of late has still been patchy with Ukraine having won just three of their last 11 matches (D4, L4), conceding 2+ goals in all four defeats during that run, including in September’s reverse fixture against Albania (2-1).[/p]
[p]Key battle: Thomas Strakosha has made 2+ saves in all five of Albania’s UNL games so far in this campaign. Mykhailo Mudryk will be looking to beat him here – he has two goal involvements in his last three UNL appearances (G1, A1), with both coming in the first half.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: The last four H2Hs have seen 3+ match goals scored with both teams scoring on each occasion.[/p]
