Czech Republic Georgia prediction 2024-11-19

Czech Republic vs Georgia prediction: EUROPE: UEFA Nations League – League B betting tips on match 2024-11-18 19:45.
[p]Czech Republic come into the final round sitting top of UEFA Nations League Group B1, but they aren’t sitting comfortably with the state of play finely poised coming into matchday six. Just two points separate them and Ukraine in fourth, meaning the only way they can ensure finishing top of the pile is with a win, something Ivan Hašek’s men are without in their past two outings (D2). [/p]

[p]Those two stalemates do form part of an unbeaten four-game run for the Czech Republic (W2), with both victories coming at home. That’s a good omen for a return to action in front of their own fans then, yet there is a small psychological hurdle to overcome in this meeting with Georgia given they haven’t yet beaten them in international action (D1, L1), with September’s meeting seeing them finish on the wrong end of a heavy 4-1 hammering. [/p]

[p]After smashing the Czechs on their own turf, Georgia then followed up with a 1-0 win over Albania and looked en route to qualify easily. Yet they are winless since (D1, L2) and scored just once in that run, putting some scrutiny on the misfiring attack of Willy Sagnol’s men ahead of this make or break clash in their promotion quest. [/p]

[p]Despite their drop in form, the away side are still in a great position to secure qualification, sitting second, one point behind Czech Republic and level with Albania but with a marginally better goal difference. With just three of their ten most recent matches on foreign soil delivering wins though (D1, L6), it’s unlikely those in the Georgia camp will be heading into this match overly confident.  [/p]

[p]Key battle: Czech shot-stopper MatÄ›j Kovář is in good form, conceding just one goal from the past ten shots he has faced on target for club or country – earning him successive clean sheets as a result. Forward Georges Mikautadze did get the better of Kovář in the last H2H, and he has four goal contributions (G3, A1) across his last seven matches for club and country – three off which came in the second half. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Only two of Georgia’s past eight games produced more than two total match goals, although the reverse H2H was one of them. [/p]
