Wolfsburg Union Berlin prediction 2024-11-23

Wolfsburg vs Union Berlin prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-11-22 14:30.
[p]Wolfsburg will try again for their first home win in the Bundesliga this season (D2, L3) when they host Union Berlin at the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday. With only three league victories at the venue since October 2023 (D6, L10), that might be a struggle, but at least their overall form from round five onwards of this campaign has been impressive, having lost only one of their last seven (W3, D3) across all competitions.[/p]

[p]One of those victories came in their final game before the international break – a 3-1 triumph at Heidenheim in which 18-year-old midfielder Bence Dárdai, who scored their second, became Wolfsburg’s youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history. Those three points mean that Ralph HasenhĂĽttl’s side begin this round in 12th place, equidistant from the relegation play-off spot and the European places.[/p]

[p]Beginning this gameweek in sixth place, Union Berlin have stuttered of late which has seen them turn their second-best start to a Bundesliga campaign into a four-match streak across all competitions without a victory (D2, L2). They picked up a valuable point in a goalless draw in their last game, against fellow European hopefuls Freiburg, but even that could have been worse with their opponents missing a penalty.[/p]

[p]It doesn’t take a genius to see where the Iron Ones have been struggling as they have failed to find the net across their last three fixtures and only lowly St Pauli have scored fewer goals in the division after ten games. On the road, four of their last five away matches have seen them draw a blank in front of goal and to make matters worse, trips to Wolfsburg have never been enjoyable either, scoring only twice and losing five (D1) of the six H2Hs![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Patrick Wimmer scored in this fixture in the 2022/23 season and he has been in the headlines during home league matches in this campaign with an assist and a red card across his three appearances! Tom Rothe contributed to Union Berlin’s last two goals away from home and he opened the scoring in his only previous H2H with Wolfsburg.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Wolfsburg have conceded before half-time in each of their five home league games so far this season.[/p]
