Las Palmas Mallorca prediction 2024-11-23

Las Palmas vs Mallorca prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2024-11-22 17:30.
[p]After failing to find a win in their first nine La Liga games of the season (D3, L6), Las Palmas have turned their season around with three victories in their last four league outings (L1). The sole loss in that sequence was to Spanish giants Atlético Madrid, but by easing past Rayo Vallecano in the last round (3-1) as well as beating Girona 1-0 in their most recent league home outing, spirits are high on the Spanish Island. [/p]

[p]That slender victory over Girona broke a couple of extensive droughts, registering their first La Liga home victory since February and their maiden clean sheet at any venue this La Liga season. Plenty of goals are therefore likely if Las Palmas are to triumph, especially considering two of their three most recent league victories saw them concede at least once whilst finding the back of the net three times themselves.[/p]

[p]Perhaps a Mallorca side which has conceded more than once in just two league games this season (W5, D3, L5) will be able to slow their hosts down. But despite starting the season so promisingly, stringing together a September sequence that saw them win three top-flight games consecutively for the first time since 2012, they were unable to cause La Liga giants Atlético Madrid problems last time out as they were beaten 1-0.  [/p]

[p]As a result, Mallorca now head to their fellow Spanish island club with a three-game winless league run in tow (D1, L2) whilst failing to find the net in any of them! So despite showing promising signs at the back, with only Atlético Madrid conceding fewer than their ten league goals so far, it’s a lack of firepower up top that threatens their campaign. Only three league sides, including Valencia who have played two games fewer, had scored fewer than their ten goals as of the start of this round. [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Nominated for La Liga’s U23 Player of the Month award for November, Fábio Silva scored in the last round as part of his three goal contributions (G2, A1) from his last four La Liga games. Mallorca defender Antonio Raíllo also poses a threat in front of goal having scored away to Las Palmas last season, and that strike is one of his eight competitive goals since May 2022 that all arrived in the second half! [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Las Palmas have struck ten second-half goals across their last five outings in all competitions.[/p]
