Midtjylland Eintracht Frankfurt prediction 2024-11-28

Midtjylland vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-11-27 20:00.
[p]Midtjylland come into this clash with Eintracht Frankfurt in a healthy spot, with just two points separating them from the automatic qualification spots in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) table (W2, D1, L1). However, they suffered their first defeat in the competition last time out against FCSB (2-0), which now forms part of a run of four losses from their past five matches across all competitions (W1). [/p]

[p]And although that one win did come on Monday night in domestic action, the fact they’ve netted just twice across those five matches shows where their problems are. The Wolves do at least have an admirable home record in Europe that they will hope can continue here, with Midtjylland unbeaten in each of their past eight continental fixtures on their own turf (W5, D3). [/p]

[p]Eintracht Frankfurt travel to Denmark as one of just eight sides yet to taste defeat in the UEL proper (W3, D1). In fact, the Eagles could make a bit of history here as their unbeaten streak in the competition currently stands at 17, and another positive result here would see them match the longest unbeaten run set by Chelsea in 2019 (18). [/p]

[p]The away side should certainly be confident of achieving that target based on their recent showings on the road, with defeat avoided in all but one of their previous six competitive away games (W4, D1). Frankfurt also have a similarly strong record against Danish sides (W3, D2, L1), although this will be the first meeting with such a team since 2006/07. [/p]

[p]Key battle: Midtjylland centre-back Ousmane Diao netted the winner in his side’s last home UEL victory, but is often on the wrong side of the referee, picking up six cards in his last nine competitive matches (Y5, R1). He’ll need to keep the in-form Omar Marmoush quiet, but that’s easier said than done, especially on the road where he’s netted seven times in six matches – four of which came before the break.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: No side has picked up fewer yellow cards in the UEL proper than Midtjylland (three), while Frankfurt have picked up the joint-fourth fewest (six). [/p]
