Celje Jagiellonia prediction 2024-11-28

Celje vs Jagiellonia prediction: EUROPE: Conference League – League phase betting tips on match 2024-11-27 17:45.
[p]In only their second-ever major European main draw, Celje have acquitted themselves admirably so far, but have just one win to their name from their first three league phase games (L2) in the UEFA Conference League. That sole victory – a 5-1 thrashing of Ä°stanbul BaĹźakĹźehir – could be a key factor in the Slovenian side finishing in the top 24 and having the chance to reach the last 16, as they sit above eight other teams also on three points going into matchday four. [/p]

[p]A tough challenge awaits though against Jagiellonia Białystok, who are one of six sides heading into this week’s fixtures with a 100% record in the 2024/25 competition. Celje definitely won’t want to remember their only previous meeting with Polish opponents, as they suffered a 4-1 aggregate defeat against Śląsk Wrocław in the first qualifying round of the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League. [/p]

[p]Reigning Polish top-flight champions Jagiellonia may have had their confidence dented by two successive draws which have put the defence of their title in greater jeopardy as they’ve allowed Lech Poznan to open up a gap at the summit. They are loving life though in what is their debut European main-draw campaign, having conceded just once overall while scoring at least twice in all three matches to date. [/p]

[p]Despite those recent domestic setbacks, Adrian Siemieniec’s men can take heart from the fact that they registered consecutive 2-2 draws despite going 1-0 down in both games. That sort of resolve was exemplified when coming from behind to beat Copenhagen 2-1 on matchday one, and with Jagiellonia having scored 13 of their last 18 goals after half-time, they’re certainly a threat as the game goes on.  [/p]

[p]Players to watch: Svit Sešlar has been on fire for Celje, registering seven goal involvements (G2, A5) in the seven games before the international break. After a frustrating start to his Jagiellonia career, Lamine Diaby-Fadiga seems to be finding his feet, having recorded a goal and an assist across his last two matches – his last four club goals have all been the second of the game.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: There has been at least one goal scored after the 75th minute in five of Celje’s last six European games, including qualifiers.[/p]
