Como vs Monza prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2024-11-29 14:00.
[p]Como faced a harsh return from the international break, going down 2-0 to an in-form Fiorentina side. That defeat dropped Cesc Fà bregas’ men into the Serie A relegation zone as their winless run in the league reached seven matches (D2, L5), making them the only side without a win in the Italian top-flight since October. [/p]
[p]Even more worrying is the fact they’re one of just three sides across Europe’s traditional top-five leagues yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Ominously, Como were relegated in both their prior top-flight campaigns that they failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their opening 14 matches. Extra pressure therefore lies on the shoulders of their forwards, who scored in each of the 12 home games preceding that loss to Fiorentina. [/p]
[p]They welcome fellow relegation zone occupants Monza, who find themselves one point and one place behind their hosts thanks to a five-game winless streak of their own in the league (D2, L3). The Biancorossi at least ended a three-match losing run on their return from the international break, coming from behind to rescue a 1-1 draw with Torino.[/p]
[p]Boss Alessandro Nesta remains under pressure though, as Monza have now won just one of their last 22 top-flight matches (D9, L12). That sole victory did come away from home – a resounding 3-0 win over Verona – while the only teams that have beaten them on their travels this season are the league’s top-two sides Napoli and Atalanta. Monza may well be confident of continuing that good form considering they’ve lost just one of the last nine league H2Hs (W5, D3), although that did come in the most recent meeting (2-0).[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Como will be hoping that Patrick Cutrone can rediscover his touch in front of goal, since they’ve avoided defeat in the last 13 league games he’s scored in (W7, D6). Attempting to steal the headlines could be Dany Mota, who almost single-handedly earned Monza that victory over Verona with a brace, just as he did when scoring twice the last time they beat Como 3-2 in November 2021.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Como have conceded first ten times this Serie A season, a joint-league high prior to the weekend. [/p]
