Le Havre Angers prediction 2024-12-01

Le Havre vs Angers prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-11-30 16:00.
[p]Le Havre returned from the final international break of 2024 to claim three huge points as they beat Nantes 2-0 away from home last weekend. Not only did that victory alleviate some of the pressure that had formed during a prior run that had consisted of seven losses across eight league outings for the hosts (W1), but it also pushed them further clear of the relegation places to start this matchday in 14th spot. [/p]

[p]This weekend they have a fantastic opportunity to increase that gap even further as they face lowly Angers in the French top-flight for the first time since all the way back in March 1994. Taking full advantage of that opportunity could be easier said than done though, as the Sky-and-Navy have lost ten home matches in Ligue 1 throughout 2024 – already their most ever in a calendar year in the competition. [/p]

[p]Angers arrive here a little battered and bruised after they were defeated 1-0 away at Auxerre last round, a match during which the visitors would have realistically been targeting a positive result. That made it successive defeats and subsequently they began this matchday in the penultimate position of 17th. They can attribute such struggles to their lack of firepower after scoring just 13 goals in 12 league matches – the joint-fourth fewest in Ligue 1 heading into this round. [/p]

[p]As a result, they could struggle again in this latest fixture especially given their inability to defend resolutely on the road in recent months. That’s because Angers have kept just one clean sheet across their last 14 away Ligue 1 outings, with that clean sheet coming during their only win in that time (D4, L9).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Le Havre’s Josué Casimir netted his first league goal of the season in the win over Nantes, with each of his last three for the club now serving as match openers. Himad Abdelli could be deemed as Angers’ most likely scorer here, as he’s the visitors’ chief penalty taker, netting nine times from the spot since the start of last season. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: Angers’ away Ligue 1 matches this season have averaged just 1.67 total goals – the lowest tally in the competition. [/p]
