Ipswich vs Crystal Palace prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-12-02 19:30.
[p]Things are looking bleak for Ipswich Town who, after a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, remain in the bottom three. That result ended a mini three-match revival for the Tractor Boys (W1, D2), and they’ll be keen to re-find that kind of form against Crystal Palace as these two sides meet in league action for the first time since 2013, when Ipswich won 3-0 at Portman Road. [/p]
[p]A repeat result seems unlikely for a side who’ve scored just five home league goals all season, not to mention they’re yet to win at home in the Premier League this term (D4, L2) – the only side yet to do so. Perhaps they can at least take some comfort from the fact they’re unbeaten in their last four top-flight home games against London clubs (W2, D2). [/p]
[p]Even at this early stage of the season, this clash has a feel of a six-pointer, with Palace coming into this clash level on points with Ipswich. Palace needed a stoppage-time equaliser to snatch a point against Newcastle at the weekend (1-1), with that their third draw from their last four league games, which although it may seem positive, still leaves them with just a single win to their name this season (D6, L6). [/p]
[p]Subsequently yet to win on the road this season (D3, L3), Palace did win away from home against two of the three newly-promoted sides last season, so they’ll hope to break that duck here. That could be easier said than done, as Palace are historically slow starters in December, winning their first game of this month in none of the last three years. [/p]
[p]Players to watch: Ipswich’s Omari Hutchinson certainly has a preferred time to strike, with four of his last five goals arriving between the 40th and 50th minutes. Palace’s Marc Guéhi could be an unlikely scorer here as his last three Premier League goals all arrived on the road, including two this season. [/p]
[p]Hot stat: Palace have failed to score before half-time in a joint-league high ten of 13 league games this season.[/p]
