Holstein Kiel vs RB Leipzig prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-12-06 14:30.
[p]Bundesliga newcomers Holstein Kiel already look destined for an immediate return to the second tier, having won just one of their first 12 games in the top flight (D2, L9). Already six points adrift of 15th and definite safety, their return of five points from their opening 12 matches is the worst start of any debutant in the division for 59 years.[/p]
[p]Marcel Rapp’s side picked up their first – and to date, only – league win of the campaign at the start of November against Heidenheim (1-0), but have since gone on to lose three in a row, maintaining their unwanted record of conceding 2+ goals in every defeat this season in the process. The sole victory came at the Holstein-Stadion, but no team in the Bundesliga has been beaten more often this term on home soil than the Storks (five).[/p]
[p]RB Leipzig visit on Saturday and are without a win in four league games themselves (D1, L3), having suffered back-to-back defeats to slip to fourth in the table ahead of the weekend. Marco Rose’s men were able to boast the best away record in the division until not so long ago, but have now lost their last two German top-flight matches on the road, and if they’re on the wrong end of an upset here, they would equal their worst-ever run on their travels in the Bundesliga.[/p]
[p]The Red Bulls need to stop the rot, and know that they could find themselves out of the European spots altogether by the end of this weekend if results don’t go to plan. The positive omen ahead of this trip to Kiel however is that RB Leipzig are the only side in Bundesliga history never to have lost to a promoted outfit (W29, D4), with their 33-game unbeaten run in that respect also a record in the division.[/p]
[p]Key battle: Phil Harres has had a direct involvement in three of Kiel’s last four goals (G2, A1), with all three coming in the second half. Arthur Vermeeren meanwhile has been booked in four of his last six Bundesliga appearances, and all four of those cautions have also been after the break.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Holstein Kiel’s six home league games this season have seen an average of two goals scored per first half. [/p]
