Toulouse St Etienne prediction 2024-12-13

Toulouse vs St Etienne prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-12-12 19:45.
[p]Matchday 15 in Ligue 1 opens up with Toulouse meeting Saint-Étienne, two sides that lost their last league fixture 2-0 to top-three teams in Monaco and Marseille respectively. Toulouse enter this clash the better placed of the two in tenth place having won four of their last six Ligue 1 games (L2), and with all of those fixtures seeing just one side score, the first goal here could prove vital.[/p]

[p]The Violets have lost just one of their last five home league games (W3, D1) so they’ve turned the Stadium Municipal into a bit of a fortress, although that hasn’t recently been the case against St-Étienne, as they’ve only won one of the last six home H2Hs (D3, L2). This will be the first such meeting since 2018/19 though, so Toulouse would be forgiven for not reading too much into that negative historical omen.[/p]

[p]The visitors won’t be getting too carried away by it either, after they were outclassed by Marseille at the weekend in a game which manager Olivier Dall’Oglio admitted left him feeling helpless. As they battle to move up from 16th, they’ve lost three of their last four league matches (W1) and similar to their hosts, each of their last five Ligue 1 games only saw one side hit the back of the net (W2, L3).[/p]

[p]That’s often been true on the road too as the Greens are still searching for their first league away victory of the season (D1, L6) having conceded an eye-watering average of 3.57 goals per game during that sequence. On a more positive note, Dall’Oglio himself has only lost one of his five visits here as a manager (W2, D2) so at least he has experience of winning in Toulouse, although it’s worth noting that sole loss came in his last visit.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Josh King has scored Toulouse’s opener in two of their last three home league games and his last three goals anywhere came before half-time. Zuriko Davitashvili has scored 45% of Saint-Étienne’s league goals this term with three of those five strikes arriving after the 50th minute.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Saint-Étienne have trailed at half-time in all seven of their away league games this term.[/p]
