Le Havre vs Strasbourg prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2024-12-14 16:00.
[p]Le Havre have sunk back into the Ligue 1 relegation zone after suffering a third defeat from four matches against Nice last week (2-1). Boss Didier Digard therefore finds himself under mounting pressure as that was already their tenth loss of the Ligue 1 season (W4) – only bottom-of-the-table Montpellier have been beaten as often ahead of this weekend.[/p]
[p]The history books don’t bode well for Digard either, as Le Havre have lost more matches at this stage of the season than any other campaign this century! A failure to score in seven of those defeats highlights where their main weakness lies, yet wins over fellow strugglers Montpellier and Nantes in November may offer hope of a positive result when a freefalling Strasbourg side visit next.[/p]
[p]Strasbourg sit just two points better off than Le Havre after a miserable run of their own, with their winless streak now standing at five matches (D1, L4). Liam Rosenior’s men at least stopped the rot in a goalless draw against Reims last week, with that just the second clean sheet Le Racing have managed all season – only Montpellier have managed fewer.[/p]
[p]Their chances of securing another one here appear bleak as Strasbourg are one of four sides yet to win on the road heading into the weekend (D2, L5). A whopping 19 goals conceded across those seven matches suggests entertainment could follow here, and Rosenior’s men may well be in pole position to capitalise as they’ve only lost two of the 14 H2Hs since the turn of the century (W7, D5), albeit one of those defeats was in last season’s corresponding fixture.[/p]
[p]Players to watch: Le Havre’s top scorer Abdoulaye Touré has netted in three of their four victories this season, with each goal serving as the first or last of the game. Strasbourg’s best hope of scoring might come through Emanuel Emegha, who has seen six of his last seven strikes come after half time.[/p]
[p]Hot stat: Thirteen of Le Havre’s matches this season have been won by the team who scored first.[/p]
