RB Leipzig Eintracht Frankfurt prediction 2024-12-15

RB Leipzig vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2024-12-14 18:30.
[p]RB Leipzig had their sights set on top spot in the Bundesliga not long ago, but having lost three of their last five league games (W1, D1), they’ve been left clinging onto their place in the top four with the winter break approaching. The sole victory in that sequence came last weekend against basement boys Holstein Keil (2-0), with Marco Rose’s side recording their eighth clean sheet of the league campaign, a division high ahead of the round.[/p]

[p]This weekend, Leipzig return to the Red Bull Arena having suffered their heaviest-ever Bundesliga defeat on home soil last time out there against Wolfsburg (5-1). That humbling was their only home league defeat this season (W3, D2), but having also been beaten at home by Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League in midweek (3-2), Leipzig know they must improve in front of their own fans.[/p]

[p]In stark contrast to Leipzig, no side in the Bundesliga has taken more points across the five rounds prior to this than Eintracht Frankfurt’s 13 (W4, D1), helping Dino Toppmöller’s side  rise to second pre-round. With 27 points from their first 13 games (W8, D3, L2), this is the Eagles’ second-best points return at this stage in a Bundesliga season having only ever been better off in 1993/94 under the tutelage of Toppmöller’s father, Klaus![/p]

[p]Away form has played a part in Frankfurt’s success so far this season, winning four of their first seven league games on the road (D1, L2). That’s as many wins as they managed in the entire 2023/24 campaign, yet the Eagles have won just one of their ten away H2Hs across all competitions (D3, L6), earning a 1-0 success here back in January.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Veteran goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi has peculiarly drawn seven of his 13 career H2Hs with Frankfurt (W3, L3), keeping just three clean sheets, while Hugo Ekitiké will be trying to keep that tally at three by extending his record of netting the opening goal in four of his last five scoring club appearances.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Ahead of the round, Leipzig have scored a league-high five home goals in the opening 15 minutes of the second half this season.[/p]
